APPLICATION
The system operates over 2 pairs of wires (4-wire) with a total data rate of 2048 Kbps. The Loop-U 3800 E1 HDSL must operate in pairs, with the Network Termination Unit (NTU) located at customer premises working with the Line Termination Unit (LTU) located in the central office. Although equipped with console port for performance and testing, all control and maintenance is done from the central office unit via either the LCD panel or a terminal.
The major advantage of Loop-U 3800 HDSL is the elimination of loop repeaters and copper conditioning requirements, so long as the cables meet CSA (carrier service area) guidelines.
